Spring Makeup Is Here: Pastel Flavored Makeup & Breezy Routines

Say hello to fresh breeze, sunshine, and pretty pastels. Winter has passed, and the season of warmth and flowers has come! Today, I want to share two of my favorite dewy pastel makeup routines – pink and coral – that will put you right in the mood for spring. If you want to bloom like a beautiful flower, follow these makeup routines.

First, we want to focus on getting that hydrated skin before makeup. I start with applying Miracle Water, a tonic by IT Cosmetics, with a cotton pad to prepare a clean and glowing surface for the following skincare steps. I like this toner because this is a 3-in-1 product that boosts radiance, reduces the look of lines, and removes residual impurities at the same time. Then, I leave the First Milk Sheet Mask by ATEM on my face for about 20 minutes. I often use this mask as sort of a booster before I go on to applying makeup because it does an excellent job at soothing and moisturizing my skin. For the final step of skincare, I use Modelo’s Anti-Aging Vitamin Cream, which brightens and nourishes my skin.

Now that the skin is soft as silk, I apply the Veil Mineral Primer by Hourglass and use Le Correcteur de Chanel under my eyes to brighten and conceal my dark circles. Then, I use Le Blanc Brightening Gentle Touch Foundation by Chanel to achieve a long-lasting radiance.

Pink

For a lovely pastel pink makeup look, I apply the Impassioned Blush by NARS gently on the cheeks. I try not to layer on too much because I want that natural rosy look. Next, I take a highlighting brush and apply the “Fire Crystal” shade from Fenty Beauty’s Killawatt (Lightning Dust / Fire Crystal) on my cheekbones, nose, chin, and above my upper lip as well. This gives you a more defined glow to your look.

On my eyes, I prepare with Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion first for a crease-free application of eyeshadow. Then, I brush the “Feelz” shade from Urban Decay’s NAKED Cherry Palette all over the lid, and apply the Look at My Eyes Jewel “PK016”  from Etude House just on my middle lid for a pop of glittery pink. Next, I apply Helena Rubinstein’s Lash Queen Sexy Blacks.

For the final touches, I apply Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Envy #120 Irrepressible on my lips and coat the lipstick with Age 20’s Luminous Lip Essence #2 Royal Honey to plump and gloss the lips even more. Last but not least, I brush over the entire face with a loose powder, Illuminating Mineral Veil from Bare Minerals, for an added shimmer to my complexion.

Coral

For a coral makeup look, which I feel is definitely more lively and energetic, I begin with my all-time favorite blush, Coralista from Benefit. For highlighting my cheekbones and nose, instead of Killawatt from the pink makeup look, I use Missha’s Italprism Satin Highlighter “Touch of Light”. This shade works much better with coral, for it is a shiny golden tone.

This time, after applying the Eyeshadow Primer Potion, I use Etude House’s Look at My Eyes Cafe “BR401”, a matte beige eyeshadow, over my entire eyelid to set the tone first. Then, I use Look at My Eyes Cafe “OR202”, which is in a perfect orange-ish coral shade, just on the crease of my eye. I also use a liquid eyeliner, Stila’s Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, to draw a line that extends from the corner of my eye to spice up my eye game. Finish off with Helena Rubinstein’s mascara.

On my lips, I use Dior’s Rouge Dior #634, which is a vibrant reddish orange shade. Then, of course, finish off with the lip essence from Age 20s and Bare Minerals’s Mineral Veil.

Now, we’re all set for spring!
